Founder & ChairmanA PWC qualified accountant, Alan has worked at the highest levels within the UK lending industry, including European Chief Executive (EVP) of asset based lenders UCB (BNP), BNY International (Bank of New York), GMAC Commercial Finance and latterly European Managing Director Landsbanki Commercial Finance.
Jonathan McLaren
Managing DirectorPrior to moving across to run Alara, Jon was a Director in Sales at Breal Zeta which was acquired by Davidson Kempner in 2023. He spent 10+ years in the Breal Group working in London and Europe. He began his career at Hilco Global working in their Capital and Appraisal divisions across their London and Chicago office.
Andrew McLaren
Managing DirectorAndrew originally begun his career as a corporate lawyer specialising in both Mergers and Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets with Ashurst LLP in London. He then moved into Finance joining RSM Corporate Finance LLP and latterly Breal Zeta, a UK independent Asset Based Lender owned by Davidson Kempner, a global hedge fund, where he spent 5 years.

She has over 28 years’ experience in managing a wide ranging portfolio of residential and commercial properties and commercial development in Liverpool.
